Community parking awareness

FoxAlert

Know before it happens.

One Fox spots it. Every Fox knows.

FoxAlert is a community awareness platform that helps drivers, commuters, residents, and the general public view nearby community reports about parking-related activity — meters, tickets, tows, and boots — before they're standing in the middle of it.

The map starts empty. Two Foxes move through the area, each covering three alert categories. When a Fox files a report, an orange broadcast wave alerts the other Fox and the new category marker stays on the map.

A Fox spots parking activity

The Fox reports only what they actually observe. No names, no following, and no confrontation.

The correct category marker appears at the reported location and becomes part of the community feed.

Three nearby confirmations make an alert Pack Confirmed while its original category color stays the same.

Same flow, all six categories. The live map rotates through every official report type — not just one example.

How it works

Awareness, built by the pack

FoxAlert helps people stay informed through community-submitted reports. It is not a government service, law-enforcement service, emergency service, parking authority, towing company, or legal service.

1

Spot it

Notice relevant parking-related activity around you — a meter check, a ticket being written, a tow or boot in progress.

2

Report it

Share accurate, timely information with nearby Foxes so the people around you know what's happening in real time.

3

Help the Pack

Useful, accurate reports strengthen the awareness network for every Fox nearby — that's the whole idea.

Location-aware reporting

Reports can use current GPS location, a selected address, or an intersection when those options are available. Reporting may be limited to supported areas during rollout.

Community map

Reports are displayed on the map so users can understand general nearby parking-related activity. The original category color always identifies the report type.

Nearby confirmations

Foxes physically near an alert can help confirm that the reported activity is still happening. A confirmation isn't a guarantee every detail is correct.

Pack Confirmed

  • You must be within approximately 0.1 miles of the alert to confirm it.
  • Each nearby Fox can confirm an alert once.
  • The same device that submitted an alert cannot confirm its own alert.
  • When 3 nearby Foxes confirm an alert, it becomes Pack Confirmed.

What Pack Confirmed means

A Pack Confirmed alert has received at least three nearby confirmations from community members.

Green confirmation treatment represents community verification, not a change in the alert category.

Meter alerts remain green. City ticket, tow, and boot alerts remain red. Private tow and private boot alerts remain blue.

Awareness, not evasion.

FoxAlert is intended for lawful awareness, safety, and compliance. Reports can be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, duplicated, unavailable, or outdated — always follow posted signs, parking restrictions, private-property rules, and lawful instructions. Do not report while driving; pull over and stop safely before using the app. Do not confront, follow, obstruct, target, or interfere with workers, officers, tow drivers, boot personnel, property staff, or other people.

Support

Questions, concerns, or feedback? The pack's listening.

For privacy questions, data requests, safety concerns, or general support, reach out directly — a real person reads every message.
